Healthy Valentine’s Day: Sweetheart Smoothie and Heart Juice Cubes

So you’ve made it this far with your New Year’s Resolution to be healthier but now that the chocolate candy has hit the stores you’re thinking “well I do need to get some candy for a school party” or “just a couple pieces aren’t so bad”.  Wrong!  Don’t do it.  I’m on mission to stay healthy this Valentine’s Day and I hope you’ll join me!  The dark cherries in this Sweetheart Smoothie add the perfect amount of sweetness and that “lovey dovey” color.

Sweetheart Smoothie
makes 2 (8 oz.) servings
Ingredients:
1 1/2 C. almond milk, vanilla
1/2 frozen banana
1 C. dark sweet cherries, frozen
6 medium-sized fresh strawberries
Directions:
Blend all ingredients until smooth. Serve in a special glass!

How To Make Heart Ice Cubes:
Simply pour red or pink pure fruit juice into a heart shape mold and freeze!  Pop one into the Sweetheart Smoothie or even into a glass of water…floating hearts.  Now who wouldn’t love that?
