I can’t say enough about this smoothie.  It’s a miracle drink for sure.  It’s also an anti-inflammatory smoothie.  My mother-in-law swears by it as she’s been drinking it for about a year now and has seen drastic improvements in her health.  While I love me a good green smoothie, this one really takes it up a notch.  If you read the last blog post, you’ll know why I love root vegetables and you should too.  The ingredients nourish your cells.  Drink it for a week and see the difference you feel.


Miracle Smoothie

Serves: 2-4 servings
Be sure to use organic ingredients!
  • 1-2" chunk turmeric root
  • ½" chunk ginger root
  • 1 stalk celery
  • 1 carrot stick
  • 1 apple, cut into chunks, skin left on if organic
  • 1 orange, peeled
  • 1 Tb. fresh lemon juice
  • 1 Tb. walnuts
  • ½ avocado (or use ½ banana for creaminess)
  • 1 handful greens (kale, spinach)
  • 2 C. ice
  • 1½ C. filtered water
  1. Blend all ingredients in a high-powered blender until smooth.
